Twisted Fix delivers a vibrant blend of British indie, pop, and punk influences, capturing the complexities and contradictions of youth in the 21st century.

With songwriting inspired by the 60s and an angst/hedonism inspired by the 90s, their music explores themes of love, loneliness, regret, and the monotony of modern life, with introspective yet catchy lyrics, melodic vocals, lush harmonies, and infectious guitar riffs.

Take A Breath With Me gives the listener a chance to do just that. With clean, melodic vocals, tight harmonies and a lead guitar that feels like it blew in with the seaside winds, the track does all but pick you up, drive you somewhere sunny, put a Pina Colada in your hand and tell you that it’s all gonna turn out fine.
A song that’s equal parts pensive and poppy, Pilate Tuesday captures the optimistic monotony of life in your early 20s. Anchored by guitar riffs straight out of the 70s and lifted by vocal harmonies reminiscent of The Beatles or Beach Boys, the track is deep enough to think to, but light enough to drink to.
Undeniably one of the band’s most addictive earworms, Gimme A Reason layers melancholic melodies over driving rhythm, a dream-like lead and lyrics reminiscent of the psychedelia of late 80s/early 90s Madchester scene. The vocals plead for release, while the instrumental delivers it in spades.

Melbourne’s Twisted Fix are tearing through the noise with a sound that’s equal parts raw and charming. Blending the bite of 90s British indie with the melodic sweep of classic 60s pop and a dash of punk, the band have spent the last year building a devoted local following through their fiery live shows and a string of instantly addictive singles, “Take A Breath With Me”, “Pilate Tuesday”, and “Gimme A Reason.”

Now, they’re ready to unleash their debut album Authentic Ignorance. This record captures the grit and beauty of modern youth in all its contradictions: love and loneliness, chaos and clarity, defiance and self-doubt. Produced with a distinctly DIY spirit the album’s scuffed textures and torn-tape aesthetic mirror the band’s philosophy: nothing polished, nothing fake, just truth explained through a rich melody with a sound that's dialled to eleven.

To celebrate, Twisted Fix are taking over Cherry Bar, the beating heart of Melbourne’s rock scene, for a one-night-only launch on Friday 12th December, joined by Fur Blossom. Expect crunchy tones, addictive rhythm and the kind of anthemic hooks that’ll stick around long after last drinks.
